History of Chief Energy

Chief Energy is built on a foundation of experience, discipline, and a commitment to doing business the right way. Founded by Trevor Rees-Jones, who began his oil and gas career in the 1980s, the company reflects a long-standing belief in building value through integrity, patience, and thoughtful decision-making.

Chief realized success spanning decades by prospecting for and operating oil and gas properties. Our focus has shifted in recent years to mineral, royalty, and non-operated working interest assets but the rigor in process and the depth of experience we developed while operating remains.
